Where can I buy Jiu-Jitsu Gi?
You can get them locally at fight shops and you can also check online.
What do I wear to class?
For Gi class: Jiu-Jitsu Gi.
No Gi class – T-shirt or rash guard with board shorts or athletic shorts. Please don’t wear shorts with zippers because it can scratch your training partners.
For kickboxing class – shin pads, 16 oz boxing gloves, hand wraps, mouthpiece.
For strength and conditioning class – shirt and shorts.
What are the classes like?
The classes are an hour long. The instructor shows a sequence of moves and the students practice them for about a half hour. The next half hour is live sparring. If you are a beginner and haven’t done any live training before, you are more than welcome to watch the live sparring portion of the class.
I’ve never done Jiu-Jitsu before and I’m concerned about getting hurt. I’m also out of shape.
We have a unique teaching method for beginners. We pair you with up with an advanced student who can guide you and explain the basics of jiu-jitsu.The assistant, who is under the guidance of the instructor, will help you in your safe transition.
Jiu-Jitsu is a different kind of workout. Like most new training programs, it is very natural to feel tired and out of shape. Even guys who run and do cardio training consistently feel exhausted when they do their first day of jiu-jitsu.The best way to get in shape is to keep coming to class. Cobra Kai welcomes beginners and it is a team-oriented facility. Everyone helps and looks out for each other.
Once I’ve signed up, am I allowed to go to all the classes?
Yes, once you have signed up with the unlimited membership, it covers all the classes.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer 20% discounts to officers of the military, police, fire department and to county and city government employees.
We also offer a 20% discount to immediate family members.
What are the fees and payment options?
Adults – $110 / month (unlimited training month to month) or $100 / month (unlimited training with minimum of 3 months commitment)
Kids – $75 / month (unlimited training month to month) or $70 / month (unlimited training with minimum 3 months commitment)
Discounts – 20% for officers of law enforcement agencies, the fire department, county and city government employees
